Dear Valued Customer,
It has recently come to our attention that some of the 1/8” molly bolts (Item 1/8SL) pictured below which were included in the VintageView Wall Series racking may be defective. To date, there have been no reported significant failures using this hardware; this is only a precautionary recall of these items. The molly bolts in question may not expand correctly and not secure the racking properly to your dry wall. We assure you that the wine racking itself is in perfect working order. We request that you not use the molly bolts in question. Instead, contact VintageView for a replacement set of 3/16” Toggle bolts. This recall affects only orders that were shipped and received, with dry wall mounting hardware included, from March 1, 2015 through June 12, 2015. To help identify the molly bolt in question; if the raised portion of the leg is 5/16”, then you have the bolt affected by this recall. Please see below.
A list of products that may have included the above hardware in question includes the following: Any product code that starts with: WS31, WS32, WS33, WS41, WS42, WS43, WS-PR, WS-BIG1, MAG1, MAG2 or F-DW.
If you have already installed your wine racking system and would like to replace the hardware, you can remove the molly bolt #1/8SL using a ¼” drill bit to boar out the center of the molly. You can then replace the molly with a new 3/16” toggle bolt.
