Our People

We are more than just a sexy wine rack. We are a company built on a set of core values that are carried out by some of the most talented people in our industry. Our commitment is to make the wine cellar design process as easy and stress-free as opening a bottle of Champagne.

From designers to cellar consultants, logistics pros, and innovators, meet the team that earns us the respect of the homeowners, designers, architects, cellar builders, and more that love to install our wine racks in their residential and commercial projects.

Our History

Doug McCain invented the label-forward wine rack out of need. He had the type of annoying problem that all wine collectors face: His traditional, cork-forward method of storing his valued wine collection left a lot to be desired in terms of functionality and design. Try finding a specific bottle out of 3,000 when all you can see are corks and you’ll understand the dilemma he shared with serious wine collectors as well as service-industry professionals.

So he headed out to the shop outside his Castle Rock, Co., home and built the first “vintage view” wine rack by hand, welding and bending some scrap metal to meet his needs. It looked good.

Soon after, friends saw the new style wine rack and wanted label-forward racks in their own cellars. Doug quickly started welding to meet demand, and a Colorado company was born. Since 2001, tens of millions of bottles of wine have been stored in VintageView racks.

Our Customers

We've been featured in every national publication covering wine cellars or design topics. But we'd rather let our customers to the talking.

  • You'll notice that our bottles are designed to be showcased on their side with the rack. In this case, it was the racks that drove the design of the bottle.
Jess Zander, Fidelitas Wines (Yakima Valley, Wa) GM
  • It's a total WOW! It looks like a very expensive addition to our kitchen, but it was actually much less than the wine fridge I was considering with a significantly more appealing look. Everyone who has seen it goes back home and looks for an available closet to convert.
    Charles S., DIY cellar designer

Thank you so much for all that you do!
Gene Walder, Vintage Cellars (via Houzz)
  • A lot of racks are either overly complicated or too obtrusive…with these, you see only the bottles and when you light a wall of wine bottles from above, it’s just gorgeous…they’re as easy to install as shelving.
Lee Ledbetter, Lee Ledbetter Architects, New Orleans LA
  • This is a great product. The company was extremely helpful during the selection process in helping me identify the right product for my client's project. The wine racks came in quickly, correctly, and went up without a hitch, thanks to the included instructions. My client is thrilled with the contemporary look of these bottle holders.

  • I just wanted to thank you for all of your help. I have been so impressed with your service and with your product. The application turned out so well and the customer is extremely happy, which is always our goal.
Jane Gardner, CKD Woodcraft Mill & Cabinet, Salt Lake City, UT
  • I am a builder who installed an entire wall of individual wine bottle pegs for my client. It looks awesome! We mounted the pegs through antique mirror (don’t try this at home) onto plywood, put glass doors in front of the wall and a couple of small pin lights in the ceiling. Its the view from the dining room and turned out spectacular! The clients wanted something really “WOW” to look at from their dining room and this was it. AND these wine pegs let us a accomplish this look with less than a foot of usable depth on the chosen wall.
Ellen Grasso, Ellen Grasso & Sons
  • Quick delivery, great product and easy install. I actually paired the Vino Rails with the wall rack system and used the Vino rails to hold wine glasses in our model home butlers pantry wine display. The rails installed nicely directly over sheetrock for a clean appearance. Install instructions were easy to follow.
